Inter coach Walter Mazzarri has reportedly won back the trust of the club and is set to be offered a new contract by the Nerazzurri.

The 52-year-old’s future at the club was in jeopardy at the beginning of the month after the Biscione failed to pick up a victory in three successive games before picking up two wins and a draw to put them five points ahead of Parma and Milan with four matches remaining.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Nerazzurri president Erick Thohir is expected to fly to Milan in order to initiate the renewal process of Mazzarri’s contract and offer him a one year extension to keep him at the Giuseppe Meazza.

The report suggests the Beneamata are not keen to initiate a search for a new coach as they would rather focus on signing new players once the transfer market opens.

Mazzarri joined Inter in 2013 from Napoli on a yearly salary of €3.8 million and has a standing contract with his current employers until 2015.
