Inter are reportedly considering a move for Atletico Madrid forward David Villa this summer.

The 32-year-old, who joined the Rojiblancos from Barcelona for a negotiated fee of €5.1 million before the start of the current season, has become a second choice to Diego Costa at his new club due to Costa’s impressive performances this campaign and could be convinced to already leave the club come June.

According to Sport Mediaset, the Nerazzurri are preparing a deal for the Spanish international which would include a swap for controversial forward Mauro Icardi, as the young Inter striker has become a target of the Spanish side.

The former Barca man, who is thought to be worth around €12 to €15 million, would also reportedly require a salary of around €5 million in his deal.

David Villa has scored 13 goals in his 32 Primera Division appearances for the Colchoneros this season thus far.
