Inter will have to pay up if they wish to sign Steaua Bucharest defender Florin Gardos in the summer.
The 25 year old Romanian international has emerged as a key performer in the defence for his club this season after the departure of star Vlad Chiriches to Tottenham Hotspur last summer, and has attracted the attention of Inter.
“I have spoken several times with the president and he told me that it takes more than €8 million [to prise away Gardos from the club],” Steaua coach Laurentiu Reghecampf confirmed.
“It will take more money to take Gardos off us than it did for Tottenham to take Chiriches [€8 million].”
Gardos has played 23 league games for Steaua this season, netting two goals.
