Inter’s Mauro Icardi has removed a picture he uploaded to Twitter after the Nerazzurri’s 4-0 away win in the  ‘Wanda Derby’ against Maxi Lopez’s Sampdoria.

The Inter man scored twice and provoked the home fans while Lopez refused to shake his hand and had a penalty saved in the clash on Sunday April 13.

The 21-year-old former Blucerchiati striker had uploaded of his hand placed on the steering while in a gesture associated in Italy with infidelity.

The image was accompanied with a caption of “Why does @Wandanara make me drive like this?”

However, according to ANSA, Icardi has backed down somewhat in the row between the two former friends and removed the picture from his official page on April 15.

Inter will not comment on their striker’s behaviour on social media as their internal regulation on the subject only concerns what Nerazzurri players can say about sporting issues and not their private lives.

Twitter has been one of the main battlegrounds in the row between Lopez and Icardi with the Sampdoria forward asking the Inter man to stop posting photos of his children onto the website.

Icardi has made 18 appearances in the 2013-14 Serie A season and scored eight goals.

Lopez has started five times since rejoining in January and his one goal came in the Derby Della Lanterna.
