Juventus coach Antonio Conte has admitted he appreciates the extent of the challenge that his side face ahead of their Europa League semi-final first-leg against Benfica.

The Águias are on course for a potential quadruple this season having won the Portuguese Primeira Liga title with two matches to spare and are also in the final of their two respective domestic cup competitions.

“It won’t be straightforward. Benfica are a very strong team,” the 44-year-old tactician said during his pre-match press conference.

“The fact that they have already sealed the title means they can exclusively focus on the Europa League, while we’re still to reach our domestic goal.

“However, these are tiring but exciting times for us and we’ll look to come out on top in both competitions.”

Conte also confirmed that Carlos Tevez has returned to full training, while Arturo Vidal is set to miss the match at the Estadio da Luz.

“Carlos is back training normally with the group, but I’ll wait until tomorrow before deciding whether he’ll start or not,” he continued.

“Arturo, on the other hand, is unavailable. He’ll rest up over the next few days and we hope he’ll be back within the week.”
