Olympiakos central defender Kostas Manolas looks set to cause a bidding war between Juventus and Manchester United.

The 22-year-old Greece international is seen as an ideal solution by both clubs, as they look to freshen up their ageing defences.

Juventus’ interest was first reported by Swiss website infoticker.ch in March, and it is only recently that the reigning English champions have also looked at Manolas as an option.

It appears that he impressed manager David Moyes whilst playing against United in the Champions League.

Antonio Conte will now need to act fast if he is to secure Manolas’ future, especially as he is likely to be part of Greece’s World Cup squad.

Manolas is the nephew of AEK Athens legend Stelios Manolas, who made 71 appearances for the Greek national side between 1982 and 1995.
