Scuffet – Udinese

Juventus are said to be targeting Udinese goalkeeper Simone Scuffet as the long-term replacement for captain Gianluigi Buffon.

The 17-year-old has been in great form at the Stadio Friuli since breaking into the team this season, and has been attracting the attention of many top clubs across Europe.

Sportmediaset suggest that the youngster has now become the top target for champions Juventus.

They also suggest that any deal would be postponed until summer 2015, allowing the player to gain more valuable first-team action in Udine.

Buffon, 36, has been in between the posts for the Bianconeri since a world record move from Parma in 2001, but now it seems the Turin giants are eyeing up a successor.

Italian under-19 international Scuffet, has made 13 appearances this season in Serie A, and could even be in line to go to the World Cup in the summer as back-up to Buffon.
