Reja - LazioEdy Reja has stated that he has an agreement to stay on as Lazio coach next season.

The Aquile are only three points behind the Europa League qualifican spots, and are currently level with Hellas Verona, AC Milan and Torino on 48 points.

“These are all decisive games considering the teams that are involved,” Reja told LaLazioSiamoNoi.it.

“They are directly interested in the Europa League race, even though it is not only up to us because we are a little behind.

“We have to do well, Torino are a hard nut to crack, [Giampiero] Ventura closes the spaces and counters, they are good in possession and they have important players up front.”

He remarked on his future that will be with Claudio Lotito’s side.

“I am an employee,” the tactician said. “I have an agreement with the club, my position is that I will be the coach also next year.

“I have an agreement with [Igli] Tare, we are working for the future, we are scouting the national and the international market, but the most important thing is the Saturday game.

“There would an important opening by winning, our task is to win all games until the end of the season.

“Every week we have problems with suspensions and injuries, I can never field the same team, I will have to pick the most in form players.

“The players worked with concentration and conviction to do well.

“This is a fundamental aspect, the result is the fruit of what you do during the week.”

He concluded by speaking of the spectacular form of Ciro Immobile.

“His last performances speak for themselves, he is in top form, he has matured,” Reja commented.

“He has had mixed fortunes in the past, now he is confirming the good things that were said about him.

“I think he is in the list of players that must be considered for the World Cup, I am not the Italian national team coach, [Cesare] Prandelli will do these evaluations, but the future is in his hands.”
