Gonzalo Bergessio - CataniaLazio could make a move for Catania striker Gonzalo Bergessio at the end of the season.

The 29 year old Argentinian could arrive as one of the replacements for the spate of Lazio forwards that look likely to leave the capital club in the summer.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that Lazio will opt not to make Helder Postiga’s loan permanent from Valencia, and with Miroslav Klose’s future still in the balance and Bryan Perea likely to leave on loan, a number of spots have opened up in the Lazio forward line.

What Lazio have in their favour is the excellent relationship between the club chairman’s Claudio Lotito and Antonino Pulvirenti, and the likely relegation of Catania to Serie B which will allow Lazio to secure their man in a cut-price deal.

Bergessio has hit the net six times in 24 Serie A appearances this season.
