Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti is set to depart the club at the end of the current season.

The Biancocelesti number one has been linked with a move to AC Milan and Napoli, with the latter having yet to clarify the future of Pepe Reina.

Marchetti would leave the capital club for a transfer free of around €15million according to Il Tempo.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper, who represented Italy at the 2010 FIFA World Cup was told late last year that he would be permitted to leave the club last January by Lazio president Claudio Lotito.

A potential swap could involve Christian Maggio, who has been on Lazio’s radar for some time.

Marchetti has recently asserted that he is happy at the capital club with whom he penned a five year deal in 2011.
