Simone Scuffet - AzzurriniFormer Italy goalkeeper and coach Dino Zoff has stated that he would not bring Udinese starlet Simone Scuffet to the World Cup.

Zoff admitted that he has been impressed by the performances of the 17-year-old goalkeeper but did admit his lack of experience would prevent him from bringing him to Brazil.

“He has done very well when he has played,” Zoff told Il Mattino.

“Hats off to [Francesco] Guidolin for fielding and trusting such a young player.

“He is the most interesting goalkeeper in Serie A Finally the Italian goalkeeping school has cranked out a potential protagonist.”

Zoff underlined what he liked the most in Scuffet, but that he would take somebody else in Brazil.

“I am impressed by his tranquility and cold-heartedness, if you show these characteristics at 18-year-old, you are predestined for greatness.”

“It is clear that his teammates are helping him, but he is giving a lot.

“I would not bring him to the World Cup, he has zero experience.”
