Liverpool have joined AC Milan in the pursuit of AC Ajaccio’s Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
The 28-year-old player’s agent has previously stated that the Rossoneri have made a move for the Mexico international previously as they continue to search for a long term replacement for Christian Abbiati.
According to the Daily Express, Liverpool are now prepared to move for the player, who will be available on a free transfer at the end of the current season, to serve as an understudy to Simon Mignolet as Jose Manuel Reina is likely to leave Anfield during the summer.
Ochoa has been with his current side Ajaccio since 2011 and has made in excess of 100 league appearances for the Corsican outfit and previously played in his native Mexico with Club America where he made his name.
