Genoa coach Gian Piero Gasperini was unsurprisingly stunned after the Grifone threw away a late lead to fall 2-1 to Torino on Sunday afternoon.

The Rossoblu looked certain for an important away victory before injury time goals from Ciro Immobile and Alessio Cerci stunned the away side and the sentiment was evident in Gasperini’s words post-match.

“There was a match until the 92nd minute that we deserved to win as we played better and deservedly had the lead,” he told Rai Sport after the match.

“Then you go and lose it in injury time off of two incredible shots, it is really incredible.

“That is the good and the ugly of this sport and in our case it was very painful.

“Cerci, Immobile or Gilardino at the World Cup? I would bring all three of them and remove a defender,” Gasperini ended jokingly.
