Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante has revealed that the Ducali are confident in their chances of earning a spot in European play next season.

The Crociati have a chance to break into the top five in the Serie A standings if they can secure a victory in their match against Inter on Saturday and the 30-year-old feels his team can take the three points if they can create more scoring chances than the Nerazzurri.

Mirante spoke to Sky Sport Italia on Friday about Parma’s upcoming home game against the Biscione and commented on their hopes of playing in the Europa League next campaign.

“We believe in Europe, we want to get down and play for our chance,” said the Italian.

“The match against Inter? The badge of the team doesn’t count in certain contests, and also the factor of playing on a certain field won’t matter much.

“These contests will be decided by the amount of chances created and we’re trying to work on them the best we can in training.”
