Icardi – Inter

Monaco are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Inter forward Mauro Icardi.

The 21-year-old Argentine has had strong competition for a starting place this term from compatriots Rodrigo Palacio and Diego Milito, but he has managed to score six goals in just seven starts and 17 overall league appearances thus far.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Monaco coach Claudio Ranieri has been keen to bring the former Sampdoria hit-man to Ligue 1 for some time, and is ready to provide the continuity he needs to earn a permanent role in the national setup and add to one Albiceleste cap.

Icardi, who Spanish newspaper Iberico Sport claim has also been interesting Atletico Madrid, has made more headlines for his off the field antics this season. Diego Maradona branded the youngster a ‘love rat’ for declaring his love for his friend Maxi Lopez’s wife, and the pair are now believed to have moved in together.
