AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari is adamant that the Diavolo must continue to focus on just one game at a time until the end of the season.

The Rossoneri may have struggled for most of the season, but are now on a five-game winning streak ahead of their match with Roma on Friday, and the 29-year-old believes his team need to listen to coach Clarence Seedorf if they want to end the campaign on a positive note.

Muntari spoke to Milan Channel on Wednesday about Milan’s upcoming game with Roma and commented on the condition of team-mate Stephan El Shaarawy, who is steadily nearing his return to the squad after being out with a foot injury for most of the term.

“I’m doing better, I’m trying to get back to 100 per cent as soon as possible,” said the Ghanaian international, who is recovering from a calf injury.

“We’re doing well and we want to continue like this until the end of the season. We have two difficult games, first we think of the match with Roma and then the derby against Inter.

“We must go to Rome calmly, and we must follow the advice from the coach, heading onto the field with the proper concentration to do well.

“Things weren’t going right at the beginning of the season, but now, yes, we’re finding a little bit of luck.

“We must only think of one game at a time. Now we only think of getting some points against Roma and then we’ll decide what to do with the other games.

“El Shaarawy? It’s too bad that we haven’t had him in the squad that much this season, but that’s football. These things happen and they help you grow.

“I’ve been seeing that he’s doing well in recent days, he’s working so hard in order to get back to doing good for the team.

“The World Cup? I’m not really thinking of it, I’m only focused on helping Milan do well in the league.”
