Napoli star Dries Mertens has tweeted of his satisfaction with his sides 4-2 home victory over Lazio on the weekend.
The 26 year old Belgian international was instrumental in the win, adding another screamer to his collection and winning the penalty that brought a red card to the opposition.
“Happy for the rest of the team, happy for my goal! Now focus on the next race. Forza Napoli forever,” Mertens tweeted on his official Twitter account.
The win tightens Napoli’s grip on third place and the all important last Champions League spot in the league, consolidating their nine point lead over fourth placed Fiorentina.
Mertens has enjoyed a solid debut season in the Serie A, netting eight goals in 29 appearances for Napoli this campaign.
