Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto has once again insisted that his future is with the Gigliati.

The 24-year-old has continued to show improvement in recent months after facing criticism for his poor form earlier in the season and he admits that the faith that his Viola team-mates have shown in him has been a big factor in helping him progress on the pitch.

Neto spoke to Il Messaggero ahead of Fiorentina’s match against Roma on Saturday, which they ended up losing 1-0, about his future and his growth as a player in Florence, while also commenting on his team’s upcoming Coppa Italia final against Napoli on May 3.

“No objectives for the match against Roma? Roma is good to look forward to, as we will do it for as long as we have the opportunity,” said the Brazilian.

“I’ve always given my maximum effort and I have finally found the right continuity. The confidence from my team-mates was very important.

“The Coppa Italia final? We’re not thinking of it yet, though I would like to see both [Giuseppe] Rossi and [Mario] Gomez back on the field.

“The Brazilian national team? It would be a dream, but it won’t be easy to accomplish.

“My future? My future is here at Fiorentina.”
