Parma midfielder happy with Cassano return to Azzurri

Marco Parolo - Parma v NapoliMarco Parolo is pleased to see that the Parma contingent in the Italian national team is so numerous and discussed the return of Antonio Cassano to Azzurri.

The 28-year-old midfielder travelled to Coverciano on Monday along with the teammates Cassano, Antonio Mirante and Gabriel Paletta.

“We happy to be in so many representing Parma in the Azzurri, it is satisfying for everybody,” Parolo told the club’s official website.

He also commented on Cassano, whose call up is a hot topic among fans and media.

“Antonio is happy to have returned in the national team and when he is happy, we are even happier,” Parolo continued.

“We want to work well in the next days even though I do not want to talk about the possible chances of being called up.

“He is giving a lot, he proved to be an important person in the locker room and we are happy to have him and he is happy to have found a group like ours.

“Once we got to know each other we were fine and also the results show it.”

He concluded by remarking on the importance of playing in the World Cup.

“It would be a dream, being here is already important,” he continued.

“I live step by step, trying to give my best.

“The World Cup would be one of nicest things of my life, otherwise I will just go in vacation.”
