Lazio were the victors of the 2013/14 Coppa Italia Primavera with a 4-2 victory over Fiorentina on Wednesday night to win it for only the second time in their history.
It is the first success for Simone Inzaghi since taking over as boss and his side were deserving victors having impressed throughout the course of the campaign.
Stefano Lombardi and Luca Crecco had given the Biancocelesti a commanding lead inside the opening 20 minutes. The Viola had a chance to hit back but missed a penalty shortly afterwards before Andy Bungu pulled one back in first half injury time.
Joseph Minala got himself on the scoresheet and Crecco added a second for the Aquile and Bangu got his second in the final minute but it would be nothing more than a consolation as Lazio won their first Coppa Italia at this level since 1979.
Elsewhere, AC Milan and Inter drew 1-1 in the Derby della Madonnina.
