Edinson Cavani gave across mixed views on if he would be staying at PSG beyond the end of the current season amidst rumours of a move back to Serie A.

The 27 year old Uruguayan has been involved in constant transfer rumours since expressing his disappointment at being played out of position by coach Laurent Blanc.

“I’m fine in Paris,’’ Cavani said to L’Equipe.”But, in terms of staying in Paris next year, we will see at the end of the season after the Championship is over.

“To re-alliterate, I am fine in Paris but there are some things I’ll have to talk to the club about.

“Certain things need to be done differently.”

He then went on to talk about his role at PSG saying, ‘’I defend a lot. I need to have the role I want in the team.’’

When questioned upon his agent apparently being in London he said, “I honestly do not know.’’

Cavani has netted 15 goals in Ligue 1 so far this season in just 1,938 minutes, but has found himself behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the centre forward role, with the Uruguayan being pushed out to the right wing.

It is thought that Cavani is a target for Chelsea as well as Serie A club Juventus, and it is rumoured that the forward could be used as a makeweight to allow Bianconeri midfielder Paul Pogba to join PSG.
