Racing Club president Victor Blanco has revealed that he plans on working to secure the services of Inter striker Diego Milito this summer.

The 34-year-old has been linked with a possible return to the Argentine club, where he played from 1999 until 2003, in recent months and the team’s president has confirmed that he will be visiting Italy soon to begin negotiations for the veteran soon.

Blanco spoke to Radio La Red about the possibility of bringing Milito back to Racing and admitted that it’s his main goal as he’s looking to strengthen the club’s attack.

“Diego is the only concrete person we’re working to sign in order to strengthen the squad,” said the president.

“I’ll be in Italy next weekend and we will meet in order to discuss his eventual return to Racing. So there is that possibility.”

Diego Milito has scored two goals in his 14 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri this season thus far.
