Roma appear to be the odds on favourites to land young Hellas Verona forward Juan Iturbe for next season.

The Porto owned Argentinean has performed well in his first season in Serie A and has attracted the attention of several of the continent’s biggest clubs including Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona and is expected to move on during the summer transfer window.

Rai Sport reports that the 20-year-old is now attracting the attention of Roma, who will look to buy the forward following his move from Porto to Verona.

Verona are expected to sign Iturbe for €15 million, a figure written in the terms of his loan agreement, before selling the Argentine for a profit.

It is understood that Verona are looking for a fee in the region of €25m and may replace Adem Ljajic at the Stadio Olimpico as he may leave after a disappointing campaign.

Iturbe has featured 30 times for Verona since joining on loan, scoring 6 goals.
