Returning AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Saponara spoke of his delight at being able to join his Rossoneri teammates on the pitch after he came off the substitute bench during Saturday’s win over Livorno.
The 22-year-old who has struggled with injury since arriving at the San Siro also praised how Kaka has used his experience to help the side recover from a disastrous start to the Serie A campaign.
“It felt fantastic against Livorno even one short involvement,” Saponara told Milan Channel.
“It was important to manage when I would enter the field and in the final minutes I did so with the knowledge that the game should end in the best way possible.
“Congratulations to Kaka who is a great player, he just makes the most of his experience and his spirit of sacrifice is still alive despite everything that has already won as a player.
“With so much experience he is very good at managing his quality on the pitch.”
