The child was found under a seat of the last train carriage from Naples by a driver and his wife and was then admitted to Moscati hospital who named had him Carmine Francis, in reference of Pope Bergoglio.

Although he could have been claimed by his biological parents within ten days of his neglect, now that that period has passed it is now Juvenile Court of Naples decision on how to proceed.

“After seeing the profile of little Francesco, we followed what our hearts told us,” Floro Flores stated on Twitter.

“Before being a player, I am a father. I’m certainly not a hero! We are going through the regular procedures.”
