AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf feels his team are ready and very well prepared for Friday’s match with Roma.

Both teams will be entering the fixture in good form, with Milan winning five consecutive games and Roma winning its last seven in a row.

“The team is doing fine, they trained all day yesterday and today,” Seedorf told the press. “We are ready for a great team in a great game.

“[Keisuke] Honda and [Michael] Essein will both be called up.”

The 38-year-old tactician was then quizzed about the form of Kaka, who has come into some good form of late.

“After so many years I know him well, and I saw an evolution in his physical state [at Real Madrid],” Seedorf said. “He had some problems to solve and suffered a lot at Madrid, and I suffered with him. Now he has found great balance, especially mentally and physically.”

Moving to the Rossoneri’s next opponents the Dutchman feels defence is where the Giallorossi are strongest.

“They are a team built upon two foundations,” Seedorf continued. “They are extremely dangerous on the ball, but there is great compactness. It is a complete team that has leaked few goals, with a very important defence.

“We’ll get a lot of attention because it’s a big game, just as we did against Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

“Roma have something extra, just look at the table.”

“Garcia has a team that can become even stronger. The difference between them and us is too much to compare the two teams. We are improving, but we still have everything to prove.

“I’ve seen us grow and improve, and this is an opportunity to show that the team has grown and can maintain balance even against a team such as Roma.”
