Inter president Erick Thohir has revealed that he has no plans of selling Mauro Icardi and Mateo Kovacic this summer.

The 21-year-old Icardi has been linked with a possible move to Atletico Madrid at the end of the season, while the 19-year-old Kovacic’s future had come into question due to his inability to secure a definite spot in Walter Mazzarri’s starting line up, but the Nerazzurri chief insists that both players have a future with the Milan side.

Thohir spoke to FcInterNews.it about his plans to keep the Biscione youngsters, while also commenting on Inter’s rumoured interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Atletico Madrid forward David Villa.

“All of our remaining games are important, there are still four games and we need to get as many points as possible,” said the president.

“Morata? I went to Madrid for the press conference for the game between Inter Forever and Real Madrid Legends, then I went to lunch with the leadership of Real.

“I’m here now, so we haven’t talked about any players or the market.

“Villa? There are no discussions about him at the moment.

“Icardi? Mauro is an important player for us, so he will still be a part of Inter next season. Kovacic will be here as well.”
