Inter president Erick Thohir has confirmed that coach Walter Mazzarri will remain with the Biscione next season and reiterated his plans to continue strengthening the club.

The 52-year-old tactician had originally been linked with a possible departure from the Nerazzurri this summer, but the club’s president has revealed that he has no plans of disrupting the current balance that the Milan side are now finding under Mazzarri.

Thohir spoke to the press at a VIVA+ event about Inter’s objectives for the remainder of the season, while also commenting on the future of the team’s coach.

“Inter are focusing on the last four games of the season, we need to maintain the balance we’ve found in order to get the best results,” said the club’s owner and president.

“Therefore, I don’t want to alter what is already there within the team at this time. Everything is balancing out now, but if you want a solid team you still have to go through a process.

“In the world of football, everything moves quickly and certain coaches are better with different players, but that’s not what I want.

“Mazzarri will also be given all of next season to build the team.”
