Udinese goalkeeper Simone Scuffet remains cool about a possible World Cup call up despite his recent string of impressive performances.

The 17-year-old goalkeeper will join other call-ups on Tuesday and take part in physical tests at the Coverciano training center.

“The World Cup is and stays a dream. Doing these mini-camps is pleasing, it means that I am appreciated in the Azzurri environment,” Scuffet told Udinese Channel.

“Being called up for the World Cup would be a great present for my 18 years, but I am not expecting anything.

“What will happen this summer is not up to me, there is a lot of pressure around me, but it must stay off the pitch.”

He also talked about the upcoming match against Juventus.

“It will be a difficult game, we are working hard to prepare for it well. We will need one of our best performances to get something good out of it.”

In the 13 games he started Scuffet has kept a clean sheet six times.
