Werder Bremen defender Luca Caldirola has welcomed the possible arrival of Sampdoria forward Manolo Gabbiadini in Germany next season.
Gabbiadini is currently being linked with a move to Bremen, and Caldirola believes that his former Azzurrini team-mate would be an excellent addition.
“I know that [Bremen general manager] Thomas Eichin knows him well,” the 23-year-old centre-back told Bild.
“He is a very good player, it would be good if he comes – for me!
“I am sure that he would also help us in this league, we are friends.”
Gabbiadini, who is co-owned Juventus, currently has 8 goals and 3 assists for Samp in Serie A this season.
