Juventus have officially announced that Antonio Conte will remain coach of the reigning Serie A champions for the 2014/15 season.

The 44-year-old’s future with the Bianconeri had become unclear in recent months, as he was rumoured to be making his departure from the Turin side during this summer’s transfer window with clubs throughout Europe supposedly looking to secure his services, though it seems he will now lead Juve for another campaign.

The Old Lady issued a short statement on their official Twitter page to reveal the news of Conte’s renewal, though specific details of his new deal are yet to be confirmed.

“Season 2014/15: coach Antonio Conte,” wrote the Italian giants.

Conte, who played for Juventus as a midfielder from 1991 until 2004, became boss of the Bianconeri as a successor for Luigi Delneri in 2011 and has since led them to three consecutive Serie A titles, as well as two Supercoppa Italiana titles thus far.
