Atalanta head coach Stefano Colantuono has admitted that he is happy following his side’s victory against AC Milan this afternoon and did not want to talk about the banana thrown at Kevin Constant as well as talking about his match winner Franco Brienza.

Brienza’s last minute wonder strike ensured that La Dea came from behind to beat the Rossoneri 2-1 but on 73 minutes a banana was thown in the direction of Constant before Nigel de Jong picked it up and took a bite.

“I am happy for the win, but the banana thrown at Constant doesn’t deserve a comment.” Admitted Colantuono after the game.

“It is a disgraceful act and I regret that one person can ruin a day worth celebrating.”

As for Brienza he added: “I was hoping for a goal from him, I know him well and he has been unlucky in Bergamo.

“I am sorry for the fans who have only seen glimpses of the true Brienza.”

He then rated Atalanta’s season as a whole: “It is certainly positive, we’ve had a great season.

“We believed we could make the Europa League, but we paid physically after six consecutive victories.

“Things have gone well, we won our Scudetto.”
