Empoli star Daniele Rugani has spoken of his dream to play for Juventus in the future, who currently own 50% of his contract.

The highly rated 19 year old defender is co-owned by both Empoli and Juventus, and has enjoyed a stunning season with the promotion-chasing Serie B club this season.

I have experienced many unexpected emotions in my first year as a professional,” Rugani toldĀ Sky Sport Italia.

“It was a beautiful season, luckily I’m still here to play for something important. I feel fortunate and I hope to achieve this goal, that of promotion.

Empoli? It is a city with few pressures, young people can play here with ease. At Empoli, we are aware that we have a budget of less than our opponents.

My immediate future? I hope to find a team that would allow me to grow. Playing for Juventus would be a dream, it’s the team that followed as a child.

“I’ll try to work to get there someday. The trio of Juve’s defenders [Barzagli, Bonucci and Chiellini] would have many things to teach me.”

Rugani has made 39 appearances for Empoli thus far this season.
