Iturbe – Verona

Hellas Verona have officially exercised the clause to sign on-loan FC Porto forward Juan Iturbe outright.

The 20-year-old Argentinian has been on loan at the Gialobllu this season and has been in excellent form, consequently attracting interest from several of Europe’s biggest clubs.

In an statement on Porto’s official website, Verona have signed Iturbe for the fee of €15million after they took up the already pre-agreed option to sign the youngster.

This fee was set pre-season between the two clubs before the Argentina under-20 international’s stock rose after a series of good performances.

It is expected the forward will now be sold on for a substantial profit with the likes of Juventus, Roma and Paris Saint-Germain interested.

Iturbe featured in 33 games this season for Verona, scoring eight goals.
