Filippo Inzaghi has confirmed that he is happy coaching the AC Milan Primavera side, but stated that he will sit down with management at the end of the season to clarify his role within the club.

The former Rossoneri striker has impressed since working as coach with the youth teams since 2012.

He has regularly been linked with the role in charge of the first team but insists he has not not made any plans for the future.

“At the end of the season I will speak with (Adriano) Galiani, the President and Barbara Berlusconi about my future.” he said upon receiving the Montecatini Maestrelli coaching award, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

“Going forward, I repeat, I’m very happy at Milan. I’m tied to a contract.”

He also commented on the speculation surrounding Clarence Seedorf’s future and the coach’s that have influenced him the most.

“Seedorf? Don’t ask me, I’m his great friend and I’m happy with the choices he made. Now I’m enjoying working with the kids.

“Who inspired me? I’ve had so many good coaches, I had (Carlo) Ancelotti for 10 years and I hope to be a good coach like him, but a coach must also be himself.”

Inzaghi is Milan’s all time leading goal scorer in international competitions with 43 goals.
