AC Milan midfielder Kaka is adamant that the Diavolo must win their last match of the season after their loss to Atalanta on Sunday.

The Rossoneri were defeated 2-1 in their away match against the Orobici, which has had a negative effect on their lasting hopes of earning a Europa League spot for next season, though the 32-year-old now wants his team to focus on their last match of the campaign against Sassuolo on May 18.

Kaka spoke to Milan Channel after the loss to Atalanta and apologised for the bad result, but insisted that he’ll be looking to end the club’s rocky season on a positive note.

“I’m sorry for the result and our performance, as it wasn’t one of our best during this period,” said the Brazilian.

“When it was 1-0 we had the game in hand, but these things happen in football.

“Football is just like this, Mario [Balotelli] could have scored, like he has in the other matches, but it didn’t happen.

“We have to win our last match on Sunday, even though it hasn’t been a great season. We have to win to give us some satisfaction.”
