Mihajlovic - SampdoriaSampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic applauded Napoli’s attacking players after they destroyed the Blucerchiati.

The Blucerchiati lost 5-2 to the Partenopei and despite his belief that his team played well in the first 30 minutes, he acknowledged that Napoli had the firepower to finish their chances.

“We were on par with the Partenopei in the first half hour, we were close to leading at the start,” Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia.

“Napoli took advantage of all the scoring chances, the second and third goals of the Azzurri had cut our legs.

“But we played against a team that has great offensive potential. [T]he result is heavy because we had other chances to score.

“Sampdoria has to grow? Of course, but we started with the objective [of] salvation and we succeeded with great anticipation.

“We did not aim to change the current championship, the boys had spent a great deal and it is a normal drop.

“It also happened to other teams.”
