AC Milan defender Adil Rami has stated his desire to make his loan move permanent and help the club revive it’s fortunes.

The Frenchman has been a regular for Clarence Seedorf’s side since joining from Valencia in January, contributing to a run which has seen them win five of their last six matches while keeping four clean sheets in the process.

It still remains to be seen whether his move from Valencia will be made permanent, though Rami has made his thoughts clear.

“My priority is Milan. I hope to stay at this club and help it to regain its status,” he stated to RMC, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.

“If Milan will purchase me? I do not know if there are ongoing discussions at this time. It’s not my job to know what exactly happens in these negotiations, but I’ve expressed my preference.”

Rami left Valencia after a falling out with the club and says he accepts responsibility as to how things turned out.

“As in all the big clubs there are disagreements, discussions, and I said what I thought. Things were not well with (then coach) Miroslav Djukic because he responded badly, but Valencia is still a big club.

“I do not regret what I said. I’m a man and take full responsibility.”
