Iturbe – Hellas Verona

Serie A side Hellas Verona look set to cash in on Juan Manuel Iturbe this summer with reports that the club met with Real Madrid representatives on Wednesday afternoon to discuss a deal for the Argentinean.

The 20-year-old is also being chased by fellow Serie A sides Napoli and Roma, as well Los Blancos’ eternal rivals Barcelona, after a impressive first season in Italy on-loan from FC Porto, and after activating clause to purchase the attacker the Gialloblu will look for a significant return on their investment.

With Sky Sport Italia reporting that the Champions League winners do have a deal in place for the diminutive wideman, they are still negotiating over fee. However, after spending €15m to take full ownership, Verona could be looking for at least twice that amount.

Iturbe was fundamental in the Gialloblu exceptional return to Italy’s top flight scoring eight times in 33 appearances as the side narrowly missed out on the final battle for a Europa League place.
