Former AC Milan and Brazilian centre back Thiago Silva says he did not want to leave the club back in 2012.

The 29-year-old is currently at Paris Saint-Germain and just a week after winning his second Ligue Un title. has expressed a desire to return to the Rossoneri later in his career.

‘I’m honest and, at the time, I did not want to leave Milan,’’ Silva told Sky for the ‘Lords of Football’ programme.

‘’I spoke with Galliani (Adriano) and then with my agent and I told both of them I wanted to stay.

‘’Since I arrived at Milan I had never thought of leaving.

‘’I wanted to play my whole career there.’’

He added, ‘’However football doesn’t usually work like this and it is difficult to plan your future.’’

‘’Then came the negotiations with PSG when Leonardo (Former Paris Director) called me and then convinced me to become a Parisian.

‘’He told me I could win trophies here and be successful and that’s something I wanted to be a part of.

‘’It was a dream to be a part of such a successful team.’’

Silva went on to talk about current Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola. ‘’At this current time, someone I’d love to work with is Guardiola.’

‘’He has a great game style. A game I love so much and it speaks volumes to me.

‘’He also speaks well of me and I return the favour during many interviews.

‘’Pep has won a lot of trophies and he’s still very young.

‘’I’d love for him to come to PSG so I could work with him but currently Laurent Blanc is doing very well.

‘’I believe Blanc has done better than Ancelotti (Carlo) did last year as he found the right style of play.’’
