eduardo vargas valenciaNapoli forward Eduardo Vargas, currently on loan with Spanish side Valencia, is likely to return to his parent club after the World Cup, but the club will look to offload him when he returns.

The 24-year-old Chile international is in his county’s preliminary World Cup squad and is a strong contender to make the final squad, however Valencia have not taken up the €10 million option to purchase the player yet.

According to Tuttomeratoweb, Vargas has been put up for sale by the Partenopei as they feel there is no space within the squad for him that his future lies away from the San Paolo.

The club would look to a similar fee around €10m for the forward as was given to Valencia during his six-month loan spell.

Vargas joined Napoli in January 2012 from Universidad de Chile and has endured a frustrating time with the club and has had loan spells with Brazilian outfit Gremio and most recently Valencia.
