Dates for 2014/15 Serie A season revealed

Serie AThe 2014/15 Serie A season schedule has been revealed with the campaign set to kick off on August 31 before ending on May 31.

The Italian Supercoppa, which traditionally signals the start to the season and will feature Juventus and Napoli, will be played on December 23 in order to allow the Azzurri to concentrate on their Champions League qualifiers.

No venue has been announced for the match though reports suggest that it could once again be played outside of Italy.

The season will feature for mid-week matchdays that are set for September 24, October 29, January 6 and April 29.

Their will also be six breaks during the season; four due to international fixtures and two for Christmas holidays. Those will take place on September 7, October 12, November 16, December 28, January 4 and March 29.

The Coppa Italia first round is set to to kick-off on August 10.
