Genoa are on the verge of signing winger Diego Perotti from Spanish club Sevilla in the next few days.
The 25 year old Argentinian’s career has stalled at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, after showing early promise which meant he spent the second half of last season loaned at Boca Juniors.
Tuttomercatoweb.com report that Perotti will arrive for a nominal fee given the winger’s contract expires in 2015, and he is set to be given a four-year contract at the Grifone.
Genoa are reported to have beaten Newcastle United and Rennes for the signature of the talented winger, which represents something of a coup for the Italian side.
As part of the deal, the two sides will compete in a pre-season friendly as well.
