Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is currently in negotiations with a Chinese investment group that is rumoured to be interested in buying a 30% stake in the Ligurian club.

Preziosi announced that a deal with the Chinese investors and news of player signings and departures will be released in the next ten days.

Genoa’s controversial president spoke to Telenord and revealed some of the club’s plans for next season.

“Genoa is looking for players with features suited to blend in with the game of Gasperini,” the president stated.

“[Antonio] Ragusa is a player that we want to bring back home, along with [Diego] Polenta.

“We would like to start with Sturaro and Perin is a young player who has played a great season. He has attracted a lot of attention.”

Preziosi also turned his sights to the possibility of new investment.

“Besides the economic aspect, there must be a concrete project behind us and I assure you that this group is really large in economic terms. Now we must understand if and how they want to proceed.

“The level of interest is serious, but in ten days we will know to what degree when I leave for China. After which I will verify if there are possibilities of a partnership or not.”
