Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin has revealed that he enjoys living in Milan and is fond of the city’s passion for football.

The 27-year-old, who almost left the Nerazzurri for Juventus in January, admits that he relates to the city’s culture really well and has insisted that the Biscione fans have a great knowledge of football especially when it comes to their beloved team.

Guarin spoke to Caracoltv about his time in Milan and commented on his relationship with his Colombian national team team-mates as they finish their preparations for this summer’s World Cup.

“Do I like the city of Milan? Sure, I like it a lot,” said the Colombian international. “It’s already been about two and a half years since my arrival at Inter.

“I really like the fashion and this environment is closely tied to football. How would I describe my style? Very sporty.

“This city is always alive due to its popularity, but very calm. Milan lives for football, the fans know everything about their favourite team’s players. They know practically everything about football.

“The Colombian national team? It’s nice to see players that play in different teams in Italy come together to protect and defend the same colours as a national team.

“It’s a great pride for the people of Colombia. We are always happy and play our matches with joy. We all know that each and every one of us is ready to give 100% to defend the colours of Colombia.

“Which one of my team-mates is the most likeable? I’d say Pablo Armero, he is the most likeable.”
