Inter are closing in on the signing of Defensor Sporting’s young Uruguayan defender Gaston Silva.
The Uruguayan Under 20 international has impressed scouts in Italy with Lazio and Juventus also monitoring his progress over the past season for the Uruguayan side.
Tuttomercatoweb reports that Inter are convinced by the youngsters potential and versatility as Silva is comfortable at left back and centre back and are prepared to finalize a €2 million signing sooner rather than later.
The signing will come as a welcome boost for the Nerazzurri who are losing as Walter Samuel has left the club while Rolando’s future is also in doubt.
Silva was unlucky not to be named in the World Cup squad for Uruguay having been called up for the friendly against Jordan in November last year.
