antonio conte JuventusJuventus tactician Antonio Conte is the latest coaching candidate to be linked with the vacant Italy position.

Cesare Prandelli resigned from his post coach of the Azzurri after Italy fell to Uruguay in the final game of Group D, sending the Italians crashing out of the competition at the group stage.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Italian Football Federation are interested in hiring the Juventus boss as coach of the national team, but on a part time basis, allowing him to remain at the helm of the Bianconeri.

The same report suggests that Roberto Mancini, Massimiliano Allegri, Francesco Guidolin and even Luciano Spalletti are being looked as possible candidates by the FIGC.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was also linked with the role but it is believed that the former AC Milan boss wants to remain with the Los Merengues.

Conte replaced Luigi Del Neri as coach of Juve in the summer of 2011 before guiding the Bianconeri to three straight Scudetto’s and two Italian Super Cups over the past three seasons.
