Torino and Chievo Verona will meet in the Campionato Primavera final on Wednesday after they won their respective semi-final meetings.

The Granata faced a difficult task in theirs against Lazio but got off to an ideal start when Mattia Aramu scored twice inside the opening 18 minutes but a double from Christopher Oikonomidis for the Aquile brought them back into it although an own goal assured they would still trail going in at the break.

Simone Palombi’s effort four minutes after half time gave Lazio parity and 3-3 it would remain, forcing extra time in yet another exciting tie from the Rimini play-0ffs.

However, the drama was not done there and a Claudio Morra goal for Torino in extra time sent them to their first final in 20 years.

Chievo met Fiorentina in the other semi-final for the right to meet Toro in the grand final and yet again it was a goal glut.

Isnik Alimi, captain and hero of the quarter-final against Juventus, put the Veronese ahead before Saverio Madrigali drew them level.

Nicola Fazzi put the Viola ahead but they succumbed to a goal 10 minutes from the end to send the game to a decisive 30 minutes.

Madrigali hit another in that period but a Berardi own goal meant that the game would finish 3-3 and be decided on penalties.

The first five takers from each side were incredibly all successful as they showed nerves of steel but something had to give and so it did when Jacopo Petriccione missed for Fiorentina and Kevin Magri stepped up to slot home and send the Flying Donkeys through.
