Roma defender Tin Jedvaj will reportedly join Bayer Leverkusen on loan during the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old, who moved to the Giallorossi from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, has only made two Serie A appearances in his debut season with the capital city club thus far and it seems he will be spending the next campaign continuing his growth as a player in the Bundesliga.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Roma are close to finalising an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen that will see the Croatian youngster spend the 2014-15 season on loan with the German side.

Despite his lack of play time during his first campaign with the Lupi, Jedvaj has publicly stated that he’d like to remain with Roma for some time, though a good run with Bayer could increase his chances of earning a solid spot in Rudi Garcia’s line up.

The defender has also scored one goal in his three appearances for the Croatia Under-21 national team.
