Former Roma coach Zdenek Zeman looks likely to return to coaching next season as a host of clubs in Italy are interested in his services.

Zeman’s last position was with Roma and was sacked in February 2013, but it now appears as though the controversial coach is in talks with Bologna to replace Davide Ballardini after the club’s recent relegation to Serie B.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Zeman has a great desire to return to coaching, and while Bologna are in pole position to sign the two-time Serie B winner, Cagliari are said to be ready to offer Zeman another chance of coaching in Serie A.

Cagliari are currently coached by Ivo Pulga but could replace the Italian with Zeman once the club’s sale becomes official.

Pescara are also thought to be interested in bringing Zeman back as coach next season in hopes the 67-year-old can once again get the Delfini promoted to Serie A.
